Mr. Faraci has been chairman and chief executive officer of International Paper since November 2003. He had previously served in leadership positions including president, executive vice president and chief financial officer, and chief executive officer and managing director of Carter Holt Harvey Limited in New Zealand.
Mr. Faraci, born February 16, 1950, has been a director of International Paper since Feb. 11, 2003. Additionally, he serves on the Grand Teton National Park Foundation, the National Park Foundation, the Citigroup International Advisory Council, and the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement. He is a member of the Business Round Table, the Denison University Board of Trustees and the Sustainable Forestry Board.
