John Starcher was named CHP’s senior vice president, Human Resources, in 2005. His responsibilities include providing executive leadership for labor and employee relations; compensation and benefits; recruitment and retention; and organizational effectiveness.
Mr. Starcher joined CHP in 2002 as vice president, Labor Relations and Workforce Strategy, and assistant general counsel. Previously, he served as regional director, Labor and Employee Relations, for Mercy Health Partners (CHP’s Northern Region) and as vice president and chief human resources officer for Mercy Hospital of Tiffin, a subsidiary of Mercy Health Partners (Northern Region). Prior to joining the CHP system, Mr. Starcher held positions of increasing responsibility in human resources with the Medical University of Ohio, a university medical center in Toledo, Ohio.
He earned a bachelor of science degree in healthcare administration from Bowling Green State University and a doctorate in jurisprudence from the University of Toledo. In addition, he is a graduate of CHP’s Leadership Academy.
Currently, Mr. Starcher serves on the board of directors for the Resident Home Corporation and was the vice chairman of the UT-MCO Federal Credit Union. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio. |
