John J. Delaney, AICP, is a founding Partner of the firm. Practicing out of the firm's principal office in Montgomery County, Maryland, Mr. Delaney has represented or served as a consultant to developers, municipalities and institutional clients in a wide variety of matters, including land use regulation and litigation, growth management, regulatory takings, and municipal law. He has written extensively and lectured throughout the country on land use regulation and has briefed and/or argued numerous reported cases in state and federal courts, including the Court of Appeals of Maryland (highest court), the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fourth and Eighth Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
