Dr. John J. Baldwin joined the Company in 2002. Dr. John J. Baldwin, from 1993 to the present is the Co-Founder, President and Chief Scientific Officer of VITAE Pharmaceutical, Inc. Prior to joining VITAE Pharmaceutical, Inc. Dr. Baldwin spend nine years, from 1993, to 2001, Dr. Baldwin at Pharmacopeia, where he was a co-founder and served as Chief Science and Technology Officer. Prior to that, he was a Distinguished Senior Scientist at Merck, where he spent 33 years in various scientific and management positions. He has authored more than 100 publications; has been a guest-lecturer at over 125 national and international scientific programs; holds over 180 United States issued patents; and has been associated with several successful drugs including Trusopt, (dorzalamide ophthalmic solution), a drug for preventing glaucoma, Cosopt, Crixivan and Agristat. Dr. Baldwin, received his B.S. in chemistry from University of Delaware and his Ph.D. in organic chemistry from University of Minnesota. |
