Elected to United's board of directors in 2002, John H. Walker is the former president and chief executive officer of The Boler Company (the holding company of Hendrickson International, a commercial heavy-duty vehicle supplier) since 2003. Prior to joining The Boler Company, Walker was president and chief executive officer of Weirton Steel Corp from 2000 to 2003. Earlier in his career, Walker was president of Kaiser Aluminum’s flat rolled business and an associate with McKinsey & Company. Walker also serves on the boards of Delphi Corp. and the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago. He received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree with distinction in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University. |
