John Quinn is an "of counsel" attorney at Duckor Spradling Metzger & Wynne with over 20 years of experience in the Financial, Banking and Real Estate industries. John has a unique background having made a transition from corporate general counsel roles to the private practice of law. He has served as a senior attorney with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and as General Counsel to several commercial banks and mortgage lenders, including such institutions as First National Bank, California Lending Group, and Conti Financial Corporation. Most recently, John was with an international consulting firm, where he regularly advised national and regional banks and the mortgage banking industry.
John's extensive experience includes banking and corporate strategies, regulatory and compliance issues including the preparation, review and revision of banking policies and procedures. John regularly advises clients on issues pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, risk management issues and problem resolution, as well as complex real property transactions. This unique background provides special insight to our financial services industry clients.
John received his J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, California and received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Economics from Villanova University, Villanova, Pennsylvania.
John is a member of the California Bankers Association, where he has served on the Legislative Affairs Committee, and the California Mortgage Bankers Association, having served as a member of the Financial Institutions Committee.
