John E. Paget is president of Avnet Technology Solutions, Global and is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the group worldwide. He oversees the day-to-day operations in each of the three geographic regions where Avnet Technology Solutions operates -- the Americas, Asia-Pacific and Europe -- and is ultimately responsible for the growth and success of the business. Avnet Technology Solutions sales divisions are focused on distinct customer segments, providing technology, services and solutions to business partners to accelerate their success. He was named vice president of Avnet, Inc., in 2007.
Prior to joining Avnet, Mr. Paget was president of the Technology Solutions Division of Synnex Corporation, where he was credited with the success of driving the company's focus on higher-end solutions. Prior to that position, he was president of Synnex North America and chief operating officer. He previously held the position of senior vice president and general manager of GE Technology Financial Services, a part of GE Commercial Finance, a General Electric company. Prior to GE Technology Financial Services, Mr. Paget served as president and chief executive officer of GE Access, a worldwide distributor of Sun Microsystems and complementary products, which was later renamed Access Distribution and acquired by Avnet in December 2006.
Throughout his career, Mr. Paget has demonstrated his ability to drive growth and operational excellence in a variety of executive management positions in sales and operations, including time spent with one the largest Sun Microsystems value-added resellers (VARs) in the Northeast and one of the top ten HP VARs in the U.S. Mr. Paget also held management-level positions in services, sales and marketing operations with many manufacturers, including Compaq Computer Corporation, Digital Equipment Corporation and Xerox Corporation. Mr. Paget received a bachelor's of science degree in administrative services from Pepperdine University. |
