John Estes joined Sullivan & Cromwell in New York in 1995, became a partner of the Firm in January 2002 and is now resident in the Melbourne office. Mr. Estes has focused his practice in the areas of capital market transactions, project finance, joint ventures, acquisitions and other commercial transactions primarily in Europe, Latin America, Australasia and the United States. Mr. Estes has acted on a large number of SEC-registered, Rule 144A and other private debt and equity transactions, including a number of initial public and secondary equity offerings, convertibles, structured debt and equity financings and privatizations. Mr. Estes' project finance experience has centered around the natural resources and oil and gas sectors and mining industries in South America and Central Asia. Mr. Estes has also represented clients in the financial institutions, telecommunications, health care, manufacturing and retail sectors, including a number of major Australasian companies and governmental entities, as well as investment banking clients. |
