Since founding Barrington Partners in 1997, John McDonough has served as the firm’s President and Manager. John works closely with portfolio companies on the financial aspects of their development, assisting them in evaluating financing alternatives, potential acquisitions and exit strategies as well as providing introductions to sources of capital. Because of his financial background and transactional experience, John often represents Barrington in negotiations involving the sale of portfolio companies. Prior to forming Barrington, John spent 13 years in commercial banking with Fleet Financial Group. As a Vice President at Fleet, he was responsible for financing leveraged acquisitions, management buyouts and recapitalizations of privately held middle market companies. John holds a BS in Finance from Suffolk University. |
