John is the Executive Director of the Urban Land Institute's (ULI) New York District Council. He works closely with the Executive Committee in areas ranging from membership and sponsorship to program planning and execution and UrbanPlan.
Prior to joining the staff of the ULI, he was a member of the ULI, as his prior work included providing technology and services to the real estate industry. Those experiences included founding and running a business that provided document and drawing imaging services, as well as an on-line property management marketplace providing the economic advantages of electronic commerce. He has twenty five years of professional leadership and management experience in organizations ranging from start-ups to Fortune 200 firms, not-for-profits and the Marine Corps.
Having graduated with merit from the United States Naval Academy, he received his commission in the United States Marine Corps. He subsequently graduated with honors from the University of Southern California with a Master of Science in Information Systems Management.
He resides in Larchmont, New York with his wife Laurie and their four sons: Will, Alex, Charlie and Matt. |
