John A. Addison, Jr., is Co-CEO and Chief Operating Officer of Primerica Financial Services, the largest financial services marketing organization in North America with approximately 100,000 licensed representatives. Primerica serves some 6 million clients with financial products and services, principally term life insurance, investments, and debt consolidations loans. Mr. Addison oversees the development and execution of all aspects of Primerica's marketing and sales strategies and leads the company's sales force.
He joined Primerica in 1982 as a business systems analyst. He has since been promoted numerous times to positions of increasing responsibility, amassing experience in a variety of areas, ranging from operations and business processing to sales promotion, marketing, and motivation. He was named Vice President of the company in 1989, Executive Vice President in 1992, Group Executive Vice President in 1993, President in 1995, and Co-Chief Executive Officer in 1999.
A native of Covington, Georgia, Mr. Addison earned a BA in Economics from the University of Georgia in 1979, which he continues to support today as an active alumnus. He continued his education while working at Primerica, earning an MBA degree from Georgia State University in 1988.
Mr. Addison has been or is currently an active board member and supporter of numerous community service organizations, including The Direct Selling Association, The Georgia Conservancy, The Gwinnett County Chamber of Commerce, and The Gwinnett Children's Shelter.
