Joel Rosenstein Biography :

Joel concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, real estate finance, special district and general corporate law. Joel is active in numerous community and civic activities and has been with the firm since 1997.

Education: B.A. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (with distinction and highest honors, Phi Beta Kappa, 1993), J.D. George Washington University National Law Center (1997).

Joel has been appointed by Colorado Governor Owens to the Board of Directors of College Access Network. Joel is a member of the Western Stock Show Association. Joel sits on the board of directors for the Colorado Financing Authority and the Colorado Commission on Higher Education; both of which are gubernatorial appointments and for which he was confirmed by the Colorado State Senate. He also sits on the board of directors of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce. Joel is an organizer, a director and an executive committee member of Solera National Bancorp, Inc., a bank holding company that owns Solera National Bank. Solera is an OCC chartered, FDIC insured bank with its national headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado. It is specifically targeting the growing Latino community - along with other markets (e.g. business community).

During the spring of 2003, Joel organized and moderated a two-day forum for graduate students of the Denver University School of Public Policy. The forum was entitled Restarting Denver’s Economic Engine and focused on issues concerning regional economic development. In addition, he is the chairman of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Water Task Force which, in 2003, drafted and published a white paper entitled Water: What Its Means To Business. On behalf of the Water Task Force, Joel has testified before a committee of the Colorado State Senate. In December 2003, on behalf of Coloradoans for Water Conservation and Development, Joel helped draft and delivered testimony before the Subcommittee on Water and Power, Committee of the Interior, U.S. House of Representatives. His testimony focused on the importance of streamlining the federal permitting process with respect to water storage projects.
