Joel Biran joined American Capital in 2005 as a Vice President in the Operations Team. Joel has more than 15 years of experience with focus in general management, finance, acquisitions, turnarounds and sales. Prior to joining American Capital, Mr. Biran was COO and CFO of CSS Stellar North America Inc., a British holding company, with global operations in the advertising, marketing, talent management and content distribution. In this capacity, Mr. Biran was responsible for the successful turnaround of the company, for add on acquisitions and divestitures as well as for the operations and financial management. Prior to CSS Stellar North America he was SR. Dir. of M&A and Business Development at Elisra Inc., an Israeli Defense company. In this role, Mr. Biran was responsible for the operations of the Homeland Defense operations in the US and the Rest of the World, managing the growth of the company through acquisitions and internal growth. Mr. Biran also worked for Goldman Sachs in NYC and Price Waterhouse (Israel), where he led and participated in numerous financial transactions such as MBOs, IPOs, M&As, Privatizations and more.
Joel holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is a Certified Public Accountant. Additionally, Joel possesses a BA in accounting and economics from the University of Tel Aviv, Israel.
