Mr. Porter assists hospitals, including the state's largest nonprofit health system, physician groups, physicians and other health care providers across the state with a wide range of matters, including the negotiation and drafting of various services, employment and recruitment agreements for health care providers. Mr. Porter also assists entities regarding compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the regulations promulgated thereunder, the Stark law, the Anti-kickback statute and other state and federal laws and regulations. He also assists clients, including health care providers, with various corporate matters, such as joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions and sales of assets, corporate governance and the formation of both for-profit and nonprofit corporations, professional corporations, limited liability companies and other entities. |
