Jim Perry has more than 15 years of experience designing software and managing teams to deliver award-winning products. In addition to founding Perrypoint Venture Advisors, Jim has previously worked for NextPage, TenFold Corporation, Folio Corporation and WordPerfect Corporation. Most recently, he was Director of Software Development at MyFamily.com, where he led several projects managing many terabytes of unstructured genealogical and family history data for the world's largest online subscription service. He was named one of Utah's top 100 venture entrepreneurs in 2005 by VSpring Capital. Jim currently serves on the board of directors for UTOPIA (Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency) as well as the Lone Peak Public Safety District. Jim graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Computer Science. He is active with local government and in 2003 was elected to the City Council for the City of Cedar Hills. Jim enjoys digital video production, bonsai trees, and motorcycles as well as spending time with his family. |
