Jim Keener has more than eight years of public relations and corporate communications experience. At Catapult, Keener assists in driving PR strategies on behalf of the firm’s clients. He also is responsible for managing many of the day-to-day media relations, project management and client communication initiatives. He is a skilled wordsmith who articulates complex ideas clearly and succinctly.Prior to joining Catapult, Keener was communications manager and company spokesman for Platts, the global energy information division of The McGraw-Hill Companies. Previously, he was marketing and PR manager for Financial Times Energy preceding that company’s acquisition by McGraw-Hill. Keener began his career at Roberts Rinehart Publishers where he worked in the editorial and production departments before becoming company publicist responsible for author relations, book tours and securing book reviews.Keener holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Colorado and has completed graduate-level coursework in book publishing from the University of Denver’s Publishing Institute.The lighter side of Jim Keener To see him now, you’d be surprised to learn that Jim used to wear his hair long.
