Dr. Fan has almost twenty years of experience in computer software and hardware design and development. He assumed his current position after almost ten years as CliniComp’s principal software engineer and director of engineering. In this capacity, he directed and supervised the design, implementation, documentation, testing, system installation, and maintenance in many different software projects and products. He has extensive experience in healthcare information systems such as clinical data repositories, data warehousing, master patient index and clinical information systems. Before joining CliniComp, Dr. Fan worked in the University of California as a research fellow and many years as a senior electronic and computer engineer at Ford Motor Company. Dr. Fan received a B.S. degree in Computer Science, M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. |
