Jessica Cockrell received Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she was a Eugene McDermott Scholar. She also studied at the postgraduate level at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Ms. Cockrell’s experience includes teaching English as a Second Language, serving as a tutor for at-risk students in elementary schools, and working as an instructor for the Institute of Reading Development. In addition to her professional and volunteer activities in education, Ms. Cockrell has been active in community theater productions as a playwright, actress, and production and marketing assistant. |
