Jerry W. Box joined Newpark’s Board of Directors in March 2003. Mr. Box retired as President and Chief Operating Officer of Oryx Energy Company in 1999, after more than 30 years in the oil and gas exploration industry. Since June 2005, Mr. Box has served as a director of Cimarex Energy Co., an independent oil and gas exploration and production company listed on the New York Stock Exchange with principal operations in the Mid-Continent, Gulf Coast, Permian Basin and Gulf of Mexico. Prior to that, Mr. Box served as a director of Magnum Hunter Resources, Inc., an independent exploration and development company that was listed on the New York Stock Exchange, from 2002 until June 2005 when Mangum Hunter was acquired by Cimarex, and he served as Chairman of the Board of Magnum Hunter from October 2004 to June 2005. |
