Jerry has represented clients in marriage dissolution proceedings for over 40 years. He emphasizes close communication with his clients and takes a cooperative approach to resolving dissolution issues when possible.Jerry has negotiated settlements in hundreds of dissolution cases. When settlement is not possible, he draws on his extensive experience in the presentation and argument of client cases at the trial court level. He has often appeared before the Minnesota Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals.Many of his clients bring cases that involve significant assets, high incomes, spousal maintenance issues, family-owned businesses, and the tracing of nonmarital assets.Jerry is a long-time volunteer with Volunteer Lawyers Network. He serves on its board of directors and lectures each year at its family law seminars. As a volunteer for Chrysalis, a Twin Cities nonprofit organi-zation that serves women and families, he helps prepare literature explaining family law matters.Jerry once chaired the Hennepin County Bar Association’s Family Law Section and is a recipient of its Professionalism Award. |
