Jennifer brings to Legacy Benefits more than 13 years of experience as an attorney, practicing in areas as varied as General Litigation, Real Estate Law, Employment Law, Matrimonial Law and Arts Law. She has argued appeals, conducted trials and drafted and negotiated contracts and settlement agreements. Her legal background provides a unique blend of negotiation and management skills, expertise in compliance matters, and the ability to tackle the wide variety of legal issues that the Closing & Client Services department encounters regularly.
Prior to joining Legacy, Jennifer was a partner at the law firm of Gulielmetti Levinson, P.C. Active in the legal community, she has been appointed to various committees of the New York City Bar and recently co-founded a NYC based professional women’s networking group. Before entering law school, she spent five years in the book publishing industry primarily as a publicist, promoting the work of authors in local and national media.
As the Director of Closing & Client Services for Legacy Benefits, Jennifer is responsible for supervising the closing process, from the issuance of the documents necessary to close a life settlement transaction through the distribution of proceeds to a selling policy owner. She also oversees the due diligence performed in connection with the purchase of life insurance policies, the servicing of purchased policies and the tracking of the correlated lives for Legacy Benefits’ institutional clients.
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University in 1986 and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 1994. |
