Jennifer Schwartzott’s practice focuses on environmental matters. Ms. Schwartzott routinely counsels residential and commercial building owners and managers on indoor environmental quality matters, including mold, lead-based paint, carbon monoxide, and radon. She also counsels real estate developers, manufacturers, transporters, and lending institutions on complex environmental regulatory compliance issues, including the Clean Air Act, RCRA and CERCLA. Ms. Schwartzott frequently assists her clients in developing policies and procedures to aid them in addressing their environmental concerns. Ms. Schwartzott litigates cases in federal and state courts and administrative agencies throughout the United States. Her litigation experience includes all phases of fact and expert discovery, motions practice, bench and jury trials and appeals. Ms. Schwartzott also represents individuals pro bono in family law matters, and serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.
