Mr. Altschuler provides strategy, acquisition, and management guidance for Meritas Schools. Prior to this role, he focused on a variety of special projects for the North Broward Preparatory Schools including strategic marketing, financing and acquisition activities.Prior to joining Meritas, Mr. Altschuler worked as an investment banker, first for the middle market division of a national investment bank and then as a founder of a regional investment bank. His roles involved advising clients on negotiating, structuring and financing acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalization transactions. Before entering the investment banking industry, Mr. Altschuler owned two technology-focused firms. Mr. Altschuler received a BS degree in Information and Decision Systems from Carnegie Mellon University, a Masters Degree concentrating in Accounting from the University of Illinois, and an MBA degree in Strategy and Finance from the University of Chicago. Mr. Altschuler was a visiting lecturer at the University of Illinois on topics including corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. |
