Mr. Zalkin is a partner in the Firm’s Bankruptcy Group. His practice primarily covers all stages of creditor-debtor relations and subsequent business litigation in state or federal courts. Those stages sometimes include commercial fraud investigations, strategy formation and implementation of recoveries for clients within the financial services industry. He also advises companies of all sizes in the areas of commercial business relations, governance and distressed debt investment. Mr. Zalkin represents traditional financial services institutions such as commercial banks, commercial finance companies while also giving his insights to public and private corporations and structuring certain commercial and estate affairs of high net worth individuals. His reputation is based upon an application of common sense solutions synthesizing legal and skillful business goals in his negotiations. When the context requires litigation, his prior employment at the federal judiciary provides a keen insight into judicial attitudes. His advocacy before the bench is vigorous and crystallizing with penetrating simple truths leading to a just decision to complicated matters. On frequent occasions, Mr. Zalkin is an author and/or lecturer for numerous professionals such as accountants, appraisers, fellow attorneys and business leaders.
