Jeffrey C. Smith was appointed to the position of general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president Human Resources for Worldspan in March 2004. Smith is responsible for all legal, regulatory and government affairs matters. In addition, he serves as corporate secretary and oversees all aspects of human resources administration and marketing and Communications.
Prior to joining Worldspan, Smith spent seven years serving as chief human resources officer, general counsel and corporate secretary for leading telecommunications company Cincinnati Bell Inc. and related entities. For more than a decade prior to Cincinnati Bell, Smith served with The Times Mirror Company beginning as senior staff counsel and ultimately as vice president Planning and Development for the company’s training and development division.
Smith commenced his career with law firms in California including Hyde & Drath and Gibbons, Stoddard & Lepper. He is a member of the Bar Associations of California, Maryland and the District of Columbia, the Association of Corporate Counsel the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, and the National Association of Corporate Directors. Smith received a JD from the University of California, an MBA from PepperdineUniversity and a BS in Business Administration from Lewis & ClarkCollege. |
