Jeff Hawn is senior vice president of Operations for BMC Software, Inc. (NYSE:BMC), a leader in enterprise management. Hawn oversees finance, corporate development, information technology, pricing, procurement and product operations. Hawn joined BMC Software in July 2000 as senior vice president of BMC Ventures, responsible for assessing and managing the company's products and services portfolio and new business opportunities. In this role, he managed many of the company's product groups, marketing and services units, and corporate planning and development groups.Before joining BMC Software, Hawn was a partner with McKinsey & Company, a leading management consulting firm. At McKinsey, he was a leader of the firm's technology practices and served as manager of the Austin, Texas, office. During his 10 years with McKinsey, Hawn served a variety of hardware, software, telecommunications and IT services firms. Before joining McKinsey, he was with First Boston's investment banking group.Hawn received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Southern Methodist University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
