Jeff Erickson has over 15 years of experience managing the design, implementation, and evaluation of energy efficiency and demand response programs. Jeff has managed large scale evaluation efforts in the C&I and residential sectors and he has led market analysis and market research efforts for a wide range of energy efficiency programs. Jeff s areas of expertise include market assessment, integrated data collection, survey and sample design, data analysis, and performance measurement. Jeff has extensive experience in processing and analyzing complex data sets, having worked extensively with market penetration data, utility billing data, evaluation survey data, emissions data and projects that require analyzing data across many sources to look for trends and implications. Recent project experience includes: Jeff is managing integrated data collection and evaluation activities for PSE&G in New Jersey as they design and implement innovative pilot programs to test residential and small commercial response to various methods of presenting real, hourly prices and offering various technologies for responding to those prices. Process Evaluation of MidAmerican Energy s Residential Energy Efficiency Programs. Jeff led the evaluation of the new construction and load control programs and reviewed the programs verification procedures. Jeff managed pilot and statewide nonresidential evaluation efforts under the Wisconsin Focus on Energy programs from 1999 through June 2004. Jeff designed and managed evaluation efforts that provided program design advice for new construction, energy audit, DSM bidding, and technical assistance components of the Focus on Energy programs, among others. Jeff was responsible for designing the evaluations; coordinating communication between the client, program implementers, and evaluation team; supervising subcontractors and reviewing their work; formulating evaluation results and program design recommendations; and explaining evaluation methods and results to the client and program implementers. Jeff implemented a participant survey and data analysis effort on the Wisconsin state-wide Apartment and Condo Efficiency Services program (multi-family). Jeff provided evidence of the impact of the program on the timing, efficiency, and quantity of boilers replaced through the program. He identified the non-energy benefits that significantly affect participants decision making. Jeff also provided a clearer picture of the participant decision making process to support fine-tuning program design and marketing. Jeff created a model to calculate emissions savings produced by Wisconsin statewide energy efficiency programs. Jeff has presented papers at several national conferences on calculating emissions benefits from energy efficiency programs. He holds a M.A. in International Affairs from George Washington University and a B.A. in psychology and religion from St Olaf College.
