Mr. Barnett joined Edison as vice president of EMG’s Tax group in June of 2006. Previously he was the director of Tax for Arizona Public Service and Pinnacle West Capital Corp. in Phoenix. While there he transformed the department leading a change effort that turned a compliance-oriented organization to a tax planning and consulting function focused on strategic business needs.
Mr. Barnett is active in tax organizations serving on the Edison Electric Institute’s Tax Analysis and Research Committee and in the Tax Executives Institute as a member of the Corporate Tax committee.
He holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Accounting from Illinois State University; an MS in Business Taxation from University of Illinois; an MBA from Bradley University with an emphasis in quantitative analysis and statistics; and is a graduate of Corporate Finance Executive Program at the University of Michigan. In addition he is a certified public accountant; certified management accountant and certified financial manager. |
