Mr. Floyd is Senior Vice President of Technical Operations and is responsible for the engineering, manufacturing, quality control and technical services required to support Orbital's production of its products and services.
Mr. Floyd joined Orbital in 1990 as a Launch Controller for the Pegasus space launch vehicle program. He served as the Pegasus Program Manager, as Operations Plant Manager of Orbital's Chandler, AZ facility and as Deputy General Manager for the Launch Systems Group.
Prior to joining Orbital, Mr. Floyd was a Captain in the United States Air Force and was a Launch Controller and Program Manager for the Titan space launch vehicle.
Mr. Floyd holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Florida Institute of Technology. |
