Jay Laabs founded Blue Stone International in January 2005 and currently acts as a managing director. Mr. Laabs works out of the Chicago and London offices and focuses on project management, global business development, and the overall operations of the firm.
Mr. Laabs has provided financial and strategy consulting services and managed implementations spanning strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, treasury management and credit analysis and underwriting across North America, Europe and Australia. His industry experience includes consumer products, financial services, oil, real estate, retail and utilities.
Prior to Blue Stone's inception, Mr. Laabs was a principal consultant for Hyperion Solutions. At Hyperion, he was recognized as the Hyperion Strategic Finance Impact Consultant of the Year in 2004. Mr. Laabs has also worked in the export and trade finance group at Societe Generale, a leading European financial services group.
Mr. Laabs graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in finance and international business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
