Jay Grushkin is a partner in the Global Finance Group of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. Prior to his return in 1997 to Milbank's New York office, he was the partner-in-charge of the Tokyo office. He also previously was resident in the Firm's Hong Kong and Washington, D.C. offices.
Mr. Grushkin has extensive experience in international financial transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, transportation finance, project finance, private placement transactions, trade finance, acquisitions and joint ventures, pooled investment vehicles, interest and currency swap transactions and securitizations. His clients have included financial institutions, airlines, investment banks, technology and telecommunications companies, corporations and trading and leasing companies.
Mr. Grushkin has been published in Air Finance Journal, Aircraft Leasing, Far East Business, Futures, International Financial Law Review, IFR Transport Finance, Legal Times, Project Finance International and Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. In addition, he has contributed to International Borrowing - Negotiating and Structuring International Debt Transactions.
Mr. Grushkin received his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School, where he was Executive Articles Editor of the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law, a Raymonde I. Paul International Scholar and a member of Order of the Coif. Mr. Grushkin was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Temple University's Law Program in Japan, where he taught secured transactions.
Mr. Grushkin is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar. He also previously was a member of the Tokyo Bar Association as a gaikokuho jimu bengoshi. He is a member of the Board of Advisors to the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and the Structured Finance Institute. |
