Jared R. Cloud is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm's Chicago office. Jared is a member of the Trial Department and focuses his practice in the Trust & Estate Controversy practice group.
Prior to joining McDermott, Jared worked at an international law firm, where his practice focused on estate and trust litigation. He represented fiduciaries and beneficiaries in matters including claims of breach of fiduciary duty, trust construction and reformation, family business disputes and claims against probate estates. He also has experience in commercial, product liability, media defense, professional malpractice, and copyright and trademark litigation.
Jared is a member of the Illinois Bar. He is admitted to practice in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, the Central District of Illinois, the Northern District of Illinois and the Southern District of Illinois. Jared serves as an arbitrator for the Circuit Court of Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program. He is a member of the American, Illinois state and Chicago Bar Associations (including the CBA Judicial Evaluation Committee and Trust Law Committee). Jared serves on the board of directors of the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services Foundation as Vice President for Finance, and also is a member of the Associate Board of Gilda's Club Chicago.
