Jana Montiel is an attorney in the Firm’s statewide Commercial Litigation practice group. She has a strong and varied background in business dispute litigation including multi-district matters in areas ranging from anti-trust cases, intellectual property disputes, breach of contract suits, insurance fraud and abuse, and other contractual and partnership disputes. Ms. Montiel clerked and then served as a litigation associate with the Boies Schiller & Flexner law firm in Miami and with Jones Walker in New Orleans, Louisiana where her areas of practice included oil & gas litigation, products liability litigation and other complex commercial litigation. Activities & Memberships Active in the local community, Ms. Montiel is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section. While in law school, she was received the CALI Award for Excellent in both Torts and Legal Research & Writing and the George David Gold Academic Scholarship. Ms. Montiel also served as Associate Editor of the University of Miami Inter-American Law Review. |
