James Metcalfe accepted the position of Vice President, Tax in August 2005. In this role, he supervises the Company’s tax department and oversees tax compliance and reporting for the Company and its subsidiaries worldwide.
Prior to joining Scientific Games, Mr. Metcalfe worked for large, multinational companies in the healthcare (Dentpsly Corporation and IMS Healthcare), oilfield (Schlumberger, Inc.) and telecommunications (Global TeleSystems Inc.) industries where he was responsible for US and foreign tax planning and compliance. During these assignments, he spent over 10 years living in London and Paris while working in most tax jurisdictions in Europe and Asia.
Mr. Metcalfe began his career in 1982 in the International Tax Department of Arthur Andersen, Houston Office and spent two years in the London office. He became a CPA in 1983 and received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Masters in Tax from the University of Florida |
