James Harnett, the founder of BuildersPlanet.com, brings with him over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, the past 12 years as Owner of Coastline Construction a general contracting firm. Twice, due to relocation, he has built his contracting business from zero clients to a long list of satisfied customers. Through dedicated industry study and personal experiences he has acquired an in depth understanding of all phases of the construction industry and its needs. Prior to general contracting, James had several other successful small businesses. Along with construction industry experience James has a technical background including a degree in Electronics and a degree in Industrial Technology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. In addition, he has pursued intense study and research in the field of Information Technology including network applications, web site development, data base design and technology integration. He has developed much of the current BuildersPlanet.com web site, pilot database, plans, and strategies for the current business proposal. |
