James V. Faulkner, Jr., is vice president, general counsel and secretary of Pactiv Corporation. Faulkner joined Tenneco Packaging in 1995 as vice president and general counsel. Prior to that he was vice president law at Tenneco. Faulkner began his legal career with Lord, Day & Lord. Later he was associate general counsel of Union Pacific Corporation and senior vice president of USPCI, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Union Pacific. He has 25 years experience in staff and operational legal positions.
