James joined Lindquist & Vennum in 2007 after earning his J.D. from the University of Minnesota. He assists general corporate clients and financial institutions with acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, joint ventures, reorganizations, offerings of debt and equity securities, securities disclosure and compliance, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and corporate finance.Prior to law school, James served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of captain. He served at Fort Lewis, Washington, and in Baghdad, Iraq. As a unit commander, he managed numerous facets of military organizations including legal issues, international logistics, government contracts, budgets, and wartime operations. |
