Jim Kelley began his banking career with San Diego Trust and Savings Bank in 1979. He joined California First Bank in 1983 where he helped open the San Marcos branch office and later managed the La Mesa office. He also was a commercial loan officer with Grossmont Bank and The Bank of California.
Prior to forming Discovery Bank, Jim was senior vice president and senior loan officer of Rancho Bernardo Community Bank from its inception in 1997 until 2000. He oversaw creation of all loan policies, established credit review programs, and developed and maintained a commercial loan portfolio and SBA loan program.
Jim is involved in various community and charitable organizations, including the Palomar-Pomerado Health Foundation, Knights of Columbus, Palomar Community College Foundation and San Marcos Rotary Club. |
