Jim Brannen, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Administrative Officer and Treasurer of FBL Financial Group, is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a major in accounting. He joined FBL in 1991 and held various positions in the tax and accounting areas prior to being named to Vice President - Finance in 2000. He was promoted to Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer in 2007.
Prior to joining FBL, Jim worked primarily on corporate tax matters for insurance companies for Ernst & Young. Jim is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants.
He is also active in civic and industry organizations. Jim is on the board of Children and Families of Iowa and American Parkinson Disease Association - Iowa Chapter. He is a past member of the board of Junior Achievement of Central Iowa and served on the tax committee for the National Association of Independent Insurers. |
