James Arnold is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the GAB Robins Group of Companies. GAB Robins is a leading provider of global risk management services and solutions to the insurance and self-insured marketplace.
In this position, Mr. Arnold provides legal counsel to all of the GAB Robins Companies worldwide. Further, he oversees the Human Resources and Risk Management areas.
Mr. Arnold joined GAB Robins in 2003 as Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary. In April 2005, he was named Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining GAB Robins, Mr. Arnold provided litigation management and claims support services to insurance and reinsurance company clients as Vice President with Beacon Management Group, Inc. He began his career in 1987 with Guy Carpenter & Company, Inc. and moved to Burmah Castrol North America, Inc. as Attorney/Business Insurance Manager in 1994. Mr. Arnold was promoted to Senior Attorney in 1996 and Assistant General Counsel in 1998. Upon the sale of Burmah Castrol to BP/Amoco in 2000, he orchestrated the spin-off of the company’s Benefits and Payroll departments into a standalone business process outsourcing company, where he served as Vice President, General Counsel, until 2002.
Mr. Arnold received his Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude from LaSalle University. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the American Corporate Counsel Association, the New Jersey Corporate Counsel Association and the American Bar Association.
