James N. Plato joined HealthMarkets, then UICI, in June 2001 as President of the Company's Life Insurance Division in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He currently serves as a Director of The MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company, Mid-West National Life Insurance Company of Tennessee based in Texas, The Chesapeake Life Insurance Company and Fidelity First Insurance Company. He also serves as Executive Vice President of The MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company and The Chesapeake Life Insurance Company, and as Vice President of Mid-West National Life Insurance Company of Tennessee based in Texas. Mr. Plato has thirty years of varied experience in the life insurance business. Prior to joining UICI, he held senior-level positions with a number of companies including US Life, Reserve Life, Metropolitan Life and Mutual of Omaha. Mr. Plato received a B.A. degree in 1972 from Wesleyan University. |
