Mr. Grootegoed has 30 years of varied and increasing responsibilities in the ophthalmic industry at both the manufacturing and wholesale levels. Responsibilities have included: sales and marketing, new business planning, purchasing and start-up, distribution and customer service, personnel/human resources, environmental compliance, computers/information resources, and telecommunications.
Mr. Grootegoed was formerly Executive Vice President of Walman Optical (the largest independent wholesale optical laboratory in the USA), a multiple-discipline $135 Million ophthalmic business.
Mr. Grootegoed was a member of the Executive Committee, ESOP Committee, Finance Committee and Board of Directors (as Secretary since 1995). Mr. Grootegoed has worked for several large optical companies such as: Titmus Optical, Bausch & Lomb, and Walman Optical.
Mr. Grootegoed currently consults for The Magnum Group, Inc. and is a technology editor for a magazine, Optical Lab Products. |
