James M. Fischer is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Prior to practicing law, James interned for the Honorable Marge Roukema, Member of Congress and the Honorable Keith Hampson, Member of Parliament.
Representative Clients. Jim assists both public and private clients in various industries including insurance, financial, medical, chemical, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, and general manufacturing with various corporate and securities matters. These include mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, public and private securities offerings, secured and unsecured financing/lending transactions, and the preparation and negotiation of commercial agreements.
In General. Jim graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from The Catholic University of America in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in world politics and a minor in American history. He received his J.D. magna cum laude from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2001. While attending Seton Hall, Jim was student notes editor for the Seton Hall Legislative Journal. He also served as research assistant to Associate Clinical Professor Virginia Hardwick in the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice and clerked at BASF in the office of the Associate General Counsel.
In addition to the practice of law, Jim also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the American Herbal Products Association, a position to which he was elected on behalf of a client in the herbal products business. He also works with various organizations on a pro bono basis in both the legal and business arenas.

Jim is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and the New York State Bar, and is a member of the American Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Corporate & Business Law section of the New Jersey State Bar, the New York State Bar and the Business Law Section of the New York State Bar. |
