Since joining SRA in 1987, Jones has worked as a software engineer, technical lead, database engineer, and project manager on many federal and commercial contracts. His special assignments have included the Directorship of the SRA Database Implementation Division, as well as three years at the SRA field office at the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) in Monterey, California. He also supported SRA's work for the DMDC as a senior enterprise architect. Jones served as director of SRA's Engineering and Technology Group, an organization of approximately 1,000 technical professionals assigned to projects across the company.
Jones is an industry vice chairman for the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) 2004 IT Partners Program--a partnership between government and industry--and was a Partners Program graduate in 2002.
