James Donlon is senior vice president and chief financial officer of ArvinMeritor Inc. In this position Donlon is responsible for driving the financial performance of the company as well as providing comprehensive financial direction and guidance to the corporation. He has more than 35 years of financial management experience the majority within the automotive sector.
Donlon joins ArvinMeritor from Kmart Corporation where he served as senior vice president and CFO during the company’s emergence from Chapter 11. Prior to this role from 1998 to 2003 he served as senior vice president and controller of the Chrysler Group within DaimlerChrysler Corporation.
During his 25 years with DaimlerChrysler Donlon held financial management and leadership positions of increasing responsibility including that of director of International Planning and New Venture Development. He began his career in 1969 with Ford Motor Company.
Donlon holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University (Fresno) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
