James C. LeMay is Senior Vice President, Business Development, and General Counsel of OMNOVA Solutions Inc., a $810 million company and leading producer of emulsion polymers, specialty chemicals, decorative and functional surfaces and building products. Mr. LeMay was appointed to the Business Development role on December 1, 2000, adding to his responsibilities as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, a position he held since OMNOVA Solutions was spun off from GenCorp on October 1, 1999.
Previously, Mr. LeMay served as GenCorp’s Assistant General Counsel since May 1997. In 1998, he received GenCorp’s prestigious Chairman’s Award for his work which led to the successful completion of numerous growth related acquisitions, joint ventures and alliances. Mr. LeMay was Senior Counsel of GenCorp from May 1990 to May 1997. Before joining GenCorp, Mr. LeMay was an associate at Baker & Hostetler in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. LeMay achieved his juris doctor, with honors, from the Ohio State University after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. |
