James A. Stroud has served as a director and officer of the Company and its predecessors since January 1986. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Chairman and Secretary of the Company. Mr. Stroud also serves on the boards of various educational and charitable organizations and in varying capacities with several trade organizations, including as a member of the Founder’s Council and Leadership Counsel of the Assisted Living Federation of America. Mr. Stroud also serves as an Owner/Operator Advisory Group member to the National Investment Conference and as a Founding Sponsor of The Johns Hopkins University Senior Housing and Care Program. Mr. Stroud was the past President and a member of the board of directors of the National Association for Senior Living Industry Executives. He was also a Founder of the Texas Assisted Living Association and served as a member of its board of directors. Mr. Stroud has earned a Masters in Law, is a licensed attorney and is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Stroud has had positions with businesses involved in senior living for 18 years. |
