Jack Romanos was named president and chief executive officer of Simon & Schuster in January 2002. He is responsible for the publishing and business activities of all divisions of the company, which include the Simon & Schuster Adult Publishing Group, Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, Simon & Schuster Audio, Simon & Schuster Digital, Simon & Schuster U.K., Simon & Schuster Canada and Simon & Schuster Australia. Mr. Romanos became president and chief operating officer of Simon & Schuster in 1998. Prior to that, Mr. Romanos had been president of the Simon & Schuster Consumer Group since 1991. He held positions as president of the mass market division since 1987 and before that president of the Trade Group, from 1985 until its units were realigned as part of the Consumer Group. Mr. Romanos joined the company in January 1985, as president of Pocket Books. |
