Biography
Jack L. Wetzel, CPA has extensive experience in public accounting, including audit and management consulting services, rate studies for governmental units, various services in retirement-planning administration, and consulting. He also provides audit and small business consulting for commercial clients, as well as tax planning and consultation.
Jack graduated from Murray State University with a degree in accounting in 1969. He passed the CPA exam in 1971 and became a licensed CPA in 1972 in Indiana. He joined Kemper CPA Group LLP in January, 1976, when he opened the Tuscola, Illinois office as a partner. Jack was named the Northern Illinois Regional Partner of the Year in 1987/1988 and was awarded the first Morris Kemper Award in 1990/1991. He is presently serving on the Firm's Executive Committee. Prior to joining Kemper CPA Group LLP, Jack worked with Ernst & Young in Indianapolis, Indiana, specifically on commercial audit assignments. Following that position, he worked as controller for Caylor-Nickel Hospital and Clinic, where he performed various rate and fee studies. He also worked as controller and chief financial officer for a general contractor.
