Ira J. Lamel was appointed to the Company's Board of Directors and Audit Committee (Chairman) in November 2003. He has been the Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. since October 1, 2001. Mr. Lamel, a certified public accountant, was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP where he served in various capacities from June 1973 to September 2001. Ernst & Young LLP served as the Company's independent accountants until fiscal 2001. Mr. Lamel directed all of Ernst & Young's services to the Company, including the audits of our financial statements, from fiscal 1997 through fiscal 2000. Mr. Lamel is also a director of Excel Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ - XLTC). Mr. Lamel remains on the Board in fiscal 2007.
